MARRIAGE AND FAMILY MINISTRY
Marriage is honorable and a sacred institution according to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The Bible references the sanctity of the relationship between husband and wife in many examples. It also defines the importance of the family structure. In an effort to meet the overwhelming need to strengthen and maintain and value Marriages and Families within the Lords church, the leadership of the Turner Road Church of Christ has established our first Marriage and Family Ministry. The purpose of the Marriage and Family ministry is as follows:
- Strengthening and Renewing Marriages and Families via ongoing activities, couple mentoring programs, and other education materials / support.
- Provide and on-going assessment of the needs of Christian marriages.
- To establish and implement a support system that deters marriage breakdown.
To educate, enhance, and sustain marriages and families, utilizing biblical principles.

Although Marriage is a beautiful union between and man and woman, it requires continuous focus and education on our commitment and responsibilities to God and each other. It is imperative that we understand each others needs, and maintain excellent communication. As we continue our journey, we will experience personal challenges within our marriages, which may require helpful, 3rd party intervention. As a result, we have created a Crisis Management Process to provide resources for marriage couples. More details are provided via the Marriage and Family Crisis Management link.
Various strategies are required to continue improving the marriage relationship. One of these strategies is for couples to continuously see more information to nurture a sound marriage relationship. God has provided Godly, successful, married couples within the body of Christ who are willing to share “what works” with other couples working to improve their relationship. Therefore, the Marriage and Family Ministry will use this wonderful support system and call it “The Couple Mentoring Program”. More details are provided via the Couple Mentoring Process link.
