The Marriage / Family Support framework contains a variety of resources and a structured approach to assist the couples in need. The Marriage / Family Support Framework is divided into two major categories; 1.) Education 2.) Assistance / Counseling.
The purpose of the Education category is to provide information by way of classes, books, and special activities to increase the knowledge level of the couples. Through a couple’s willingness to practice what they learn, prayer, and God’s grace the overall marriage, even if they are not encountering major problems, or in jeopardy.
The purpose of the Assistance / Counseling category is to provide couple mentoring, informal information on positive marriage techniques, and professional counseling for couples. This area is for couples whose marriage problems are more severe. This category provides informal counseling from the elders, and possibly couple mentoring from an assigned mentoring couple. In the event the problems are more severe, professional counseling can be made available at a slightly reduced rated from the professional counselors recommended by the leadership.
